This demonstrator for Baumit Austria is built on the idea, that concrete facades resulting from 3d printing processes can potentially be highly modulated, in a very literal sense. A hexagonal pattern was the starting point for a series of interlocking pieces with a gradual change in texture. The concrete assembly was mounted onto a thermoreactive rendered surface, enabling the facade to change its color depending on different sun angles, functioning as a display for specific environmental factors in our built environment.
